Communicator. WordPress theme designer. Speaker. Teacher. Fixer. Wannabe minimalist who strives to do less wrong one day at a time.

- created new web and print content to provide enhanced offerings for underserved members of the organization
Prior to this, I served as Director of Communication Services at Eastern New Mexico University. During my time there, I:

- knocked down silos
Random Fact #1
I quote music lyrics way too often.
For thirteen years, I worked as the Director of Web Development at the University of Central Arkansas. As director, I coordinated the overall web and new media presence at UCA. I also worked with various departments on campus to develop promotional websites that advanced the university’s mission to both internal and external audiences.
Involved with the implementation of the university’s “Graphic Identity Style Guide”, I was also part of the “Branding Team”.
As a former member of the District IV Board of Directors for CASE (Council for the Advancement and Support of Education), I am continually working to create synergy with all advancement efforts on campus and within the community. I believe all advancement areas are capable of creating a holistic environment to support students throughout their tenure at the university – and beyond.
Random Fact #2
I won the county spelling bee in 6th grade.
I am an TWELVE time CASE Stellar Speaker award winner and Faculty Star.
CASE district faculty stars are conference speakers who earn average combined scores of 4.5 and above (on a five-point scale) on their session evaluations at CASE district conferences. Participants rate speakers on criteria that include knowledge of subject matter, suitability of content, presentation skills and quality of handouts.
CASE stands for The “Council for Advancement and Support of Education” and is a professional association serving educational institutions and the advancement professionals who work on their behalf in alumni relations, communications, development, marketing and allied areas.
I am also a two time CASE Circle of Excellence award winner for my work on the district IV conference communications and marketing. This is a national award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and “acknowledges superior accomplishments that have lasting impact, demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and deliver exceptional results.” According to its website, “The Circle of Excellence celebrates programs that measure up to high standards, contribute to a growing body of knowledge and add substance and insight to the profession and its practitioners.”
