About
I'm Brent Passmore, a chief web architect and digital accessibility practitioner with 25+ years at public universities and an academic medical center. For most of that time my job has been the same at any scale: take a web presence thousands of people depend on and make sure every one of them can actually use it.
What I do
Accessibility is the through-line. Not the audit-and-apologize kind, the kind where the system refuses to ship inaccessible work in the first place. That conviction eventually became software: I own Had A Farm, where I build purpose-built tools, starting with Windrow, a CMS that runs every publish through a real WCAG 2.2 AA gate. This site runs on it.
I write here about all of it: field notes from accessibility practice, build logs from the apps, and honest progress reports from the guitar in the corner of the room.
Off the clock
I live in North Little Rock, Arkansas. I play guitar a little better every week, care about spending real hours with family more than screens, and treat my own health like a science fair project, the long version of that story is here.
